About

Can We Start Again? was a computational arts festival and exhibition by Phreaking Collective, centred on a technospeculative examination of our digital ecosystem. Born out of distress towards the corporate and surveilled state of computation, the programme combined critical reflection with speculative and optimistic perspectives on digital culture, asking whether we're too far past the tipping point, whether we can correct course, or whether we can start again.

Spanning a physical exhibition, talks, and workshops, the programme explored digital ecology, AI, technological acceleration, and the social impact of emerging technologies — building a space to imagine an alternative future for computation, if we're ever given the chance.
